Looks like Dentyne decided to get WEIRD…from Anthony Yankovic:

If you like chewing gum, then pick one of these Dentyne bottles up at your local gum store. They’ve been slowly popping up here and there, as the old stock depletes they are replaced by these newer fancier ones.

Also, check out one of his new deck designs:

Dust

Author: Facemelter | Posted: 12/10/09 11:18 pm

Paul Hazelton’s sculptures are made of dust.

The dust of everyday life – the unavoidable and necessary by-product of living, engrosses me. Art, also an unavoidable and necessary by-product of living, engrosses me. Art, like dust, is a residue of life and therefore, the making of art is like an extreme act of self-exfoliation. For me, making art is a per-version of life that has many possible diversions. Sometimes these diversions take you somewhere unexpected, sometimes somewhere gross but you have to keep going.

Float

Coolest record player (concept) ever:

The record player uses a carrier and dock outfitted with a magnetic and auto-calibrating control system which carries the LP into thin air as it is playing music. a self-running record player shaped
in the form of a red sphere, contains a needle, amplifier and speaker, spins around the record,
bringing the music to life. the sphere that plays the vinyl was technically influenced by the ‘vinyl killer’,
currently the world’s smallest LP player that has a built-in motor, amplifier and speaker.

Soda

Author: Facemelter | Posted: 12/08/09 1:54 pm

“I own my shelf-space and I can do anything I want with it.”

John Nese is the proprietor of Galcos Soda Pop Stop in LA. His father ran it as a grocery store, and when the time came for John to take charge, he decided to convert it into the ultimate soda-lovers destination. About 500 pops line the shelves, sourced lovingly by John from around the world. John has made it his mission to keep small soda-makers afloat and help them find their consumers. Galcos also acts as a distributor for restaurants and bars along the West Coast, spreading the gospel of soda made with cane sugar (no high-fructose corn syrup if John can avoid it).
